Plug in whichever AI provider you like and change it whenever: the memory comes with you, which is exactly what a cloud assistant cannot do. ⚠️ Windows will warn on first run — the installer is not code-signed yet. This is not a virus alert; it means we have not bought a signing certificate. Want to check the file first? The release page publishes a SHA-256 for every build.
One more minute after installing: the first screen asks you to connect a brain. Four providers have a free tier with no credit card — one click opens the page, you paste the key back, and the app tests it before saving. Prefer nothing to leave your machine at all? It can run a local model instead (needs Ollama, a separate install).

What happens when you subscribe
- You pay. The card is handled by Paddle, not by us.
- Your licence key appears on this page, immediately. Copy it.
- Open Steading → Settings → Licence. Paste the key, press Activate. That is the whole setup.
- Lost the key? Open your account page and sign in with Google, using the same address you paid with. Your key is there, and so is your renewal date.
- Want to stop? Same page, one button. No email, nothing to ask us.
No password anywhere — you sign in with Google, or with the key itself. The app never asks you to sign in; this page is for your subscription.
